this is really funny but also…the filter censored “Wang”, which is the surname of a lot of Chinese palaeontologists (but not “Johnson”, an equally childish penis euphemism). It’s actually an astonishingly good example for why this sort of text-based censorship is biased, unhelpful, and doesn’t improve anybody’s online experiences. You fix issues around language by monitoring *user behaviour*, not by auto-banning Bad Words.
When laundry powder manufacturers want clothes to appear “whiter than white” they add a trace of blue dye. When hair dye manufacturers want hair to appear blacker than black they add a trace of blue dye. Blue is both a white intensifier and a black intensifier.
